What Jivra Can Do for You: A Quick Guide

By the Chundu Laboratories team · 4 min read · Updated 24 October 2026

Jivra is a free, general-purpose AI assistant from Chundu Laboratories, an independent Indian lab. It is built only on open models and runs on our own servers. This guide explains what Jivra is good at, how to get the best from it and where its limits are.

Chat: ask about almost anything

You can talk to Jivra in plain language, the way you would message a knowledgeable friend. Some things people use it for:

  • Everyday questions: "Why does milk boil over but water doesn't?" or "What documents do I usually need to open a bank account?"
  • Writing help: emails, applications, WhatsApp messages, social posts, speeches and greetings.
  • Explanations: news terms, technology, science, history or a confusing paragraph you paste in.
  • Planning: trip plans, daily routines, meal ideas, packing lists and to-do lists.
  • Ideas: names for a business, gift ideas, party themes or content ideas.
  • Maths: percentages, discounts, interest, unit conversions and step-by-step solutions.
  • Coding: explaining errors, small scripts and spreadsheet formulas.
  • Languages: Jivra tries to reply in the language you write in, including Hindi and Telugu, though English replies are currently the most reliable.

Example prompts to try

  • "Explain inflation to me in simple words with an Indian example."
  • "Write a polite message to my landlord asking to fix a leaking tap."
  • "I have rice, dal, onions and tomatoes. Suggest two quick dinners."
  • "Make a 30-minute home workout for a beginner with no equipment."
  • "What is 18% GST on ₹2,450? Show the steps."
  • "Write a Python program that adds up numbers in a list."

Images from text

On the Images page you can describe a picture and Jivra's image tool creates it. Be specific about the subject, setting, style and colours, for example "a watercolour painting of a peacock in the rain beside a village pond". Each image takes a minute or more. Safety filters are always on: images of real people, nudity and violence are blocked.

Tips for better answers

  • Give context: who it is for, what you need and any limits.
  • Ask for a format: a list, a table, a short paragraph or a specific word count.
  • Follow up: "shorter", "simpler", "more formal" or "give me another option".
  • For maths, ask Jivra to show its steps so you can check them.

Honest limits

Jivra is a small model running on modest hardware, and we would rather be open about that.

  • It can make mistakes, including stating wrong facts confidently. Check anything important.
  • It does not browse the internet, so it may not know recent news or current prices.
  • Replies can take some time, especially when many people are using it.
  • It is not a doctor, lawyer or financial adviser. Use it to understand topics and prepare questions, not to make serious decisions.

We improve Jivra regularly. Every new version is tested against questions it has never seen, and we only release versions that do at least as well as the last one.

Privacy

Chats are not stored on our servers after the reply is sent, the chat and image tools have no ads or trackers, and we do not sell data. Even so, please do not share passwords, OTPs, bank or card details, Aadhaar numbers or other people's private information with Jivra or any other AI tool. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Plans

Jivra is free to use with a daily limit of 30 chat messages and 5 images. Paid plans with higher limits and a developer API with simple rupee pricing are planned for the future; prices on the Pricing page are placeholders until then.
